shops including but not limited to food stores, taverns, a bakery and a pharmacy. At a distance of just
100m from the center flows the village`s perfectly pure and drinkable river whilst the springs delivering
fresh water to the river are also located no further than a stone`s throw away.
Neo Chorio is located in one of the island`s most profoundly beautiful regions surrounded by a number of
intriguing areas of interest. Just two kilometers away flow the `Armani` springs between enormous plane
trees whilst the scenic coastal village of `Kalyves` - a place with beautiful, clean beaches that offer ideal
opportunities for swimming and sea sports - lies only within a few minutes of driving away. Towards the
west side, at a distance of less than 2km, the splendidly beautiful village of `Stylos` is located amongst
springs of fresh clean waters. Towards the north side, within a driving distance of less than 15 minutes
lies the stunning village of `Vryses` which is also surrounded by springs and plane trees is an ideal
location for food and relaxation. Another 10 minutes away leads to the enchanting coastal village of
`Georgoupoli`, just north of which lies perhaps the most astoundingly beautiful lake of Europe, residing
across an area of 1,5 sq. km with springs that constantly feed the lake with fresh drinkable water and a
river that drives these waters into the sea. Towards the south side, at a distance of about 15km from the
house (about 15 mins by car) lies the port of Crete`s capital from whence one or two ships depart daily
thus connecting the island with mainland Greece. Near the port, at a distance of about 24km from the
house, one can visit the island`s capital of `Chania`, a magnificent modern city with no shortage of large
markets, a scenic road system, beaches and any desirable services.
